Mountaineer CrossFit – Kids
January will be dedicated to pushups and squatting. For pushups, we’ll work on keeping rigid/stable through the middle of the body with different plank and pushup variations. Squats are going to focus on controlled movement to make squatting as “perfect” as we can
Warm-up (No Measure)
5:00 minute relay of: 1 Roll -> 3 Dot Drills (numbers 1-3 in a triangle format) -> High Knee Skip Cone to Cone -> Inchworm Length of two mats
Push-ups (Plank Around the Plate)
With toes planted in the center of a smooth bumper, assume the plank position and slowly walk hands around in a circle. Reverse directions and circle again. If needed, scale to a half circle each way.
Metcon (Time)
AMRAP relay in a given time of:
5 Push Ups
Run 100m (Down the length of the kids room and back X2)
5 Grasshoppers
Three people can go at a time, each in their own lane. Once the grasshoppers are completed, tag the next person in line
